Day 23

Sunday, October 20

Key Verse: No longer will you have the sun for light by day, nor for brightness will the moon give you light; but you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, and your God for your glory. Your sun will no longer set, nor will your moon wane; for you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be over. —Isaiah 60:19–20 (NASB)

Prayer Point: May we look to God as the everlasting Light to pierce the spiritual darkness in our community.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we know the weight and loneliness of darkness in our community both physically and spiritually. We ask that You would lift our heads and hearts to You, our everlasting Light. Cause Your righteousness to shine like the noon day, penetrating the darkness that threatens our souls. We praise You for what will be accomplished by Your Spirit through the Celebration of Hope. Prepare us to be effective and bright light-bearers to our friends and neighbors. In Your Name, amen.
