Prayer Point: May God destroy the spirit of covetousness and greed in our lives. May He awaken in our hearts a delight in the presence of Christ, that intimacy with Him would be treasured more than money, possessions, or hobbies.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we know we are tempted by the treasures of this world. We live in such a beautiful place and enjoy many of this life’s treasures. Yet no one can serve two masters, and so in faith, we declare that Jesus is Lord, and we serve Jesus. We pray that we can keep our lives free from the love of money and things of this world. Teach us to be content with the blessings and to treasure Jesus Christ above all else. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
